Here's another style comaprisson picture.
This time it's Francisne "Fanny" Cottentail.
1.) The Original from "Oh, Teacher" to "Great Guns"
2.) The Developed style from "All Wet" to "Harem Scarem" (I think it's the last cartoon fanny appeared before she was replaced with Sadie).
In this style Urb Iwrek (the head animator of the Oswald cartoons) started to make Fanny go through the Betty Boop design.
Having big eyes and long eye-lashes, red lips, and more of a feminne figure.
This style reminds me too much of Arlene from "Garfield."
And I apologise if it's crooked.
and 3.) My style- Apperantely this style of Fanny is that people hate the most because they think that I made her look like a "Mary-Sue."
How does Fanny look like a Mary-Sue in my style?
I didn't gave her body that makes Jessica Rabbit look like Olive Oyl;
I didn't give her unrealistic color and style of hair and eyes.
I just drew her like this for only this reason:
Since Oswald is the opposite of Mickey, Fanny is the opposite of Minnie (in apperences and personality)
While Minnie has little detail that make her different from Mickey:
*and a Dress
Fanny has more details that make her look different from Oswald:
*Eye color (blue)
*and Hair (based on a classic hair-stlye of the 30's)
The curls on the side of her face are borrowed from the scrapped picture of Fanny that didn't make it into "Epic Mickey"
And I put circus/petal stripes on Fanny's dress are suppose to be opposite to Minnie's polka dots. Regular stripes would've looked too bright on her green dress.
Francisen "Fanny" Cottentail belongs to Disney
Drawing, color, and ink by me.
