Wasn't hard to pick which hedgehog characters I like best, mostly because I only know a few famous/least famous hedgehog characters.

10.) Shaymin (Pokemon games); What's not cute about this Pokemon?
It's a hedgehog literally made out a hedge.^^


09.) Russel (Once Upon a Forest)ne of the main characters from the under-rated movie.
Russel may be a glutton, but he always puts his friends first before food.


08.) Julus from "Sonic Archie": I don't like Sonic Archie anymore, but Julus (as well as Mina Mongoose and Remington) still is one of my favorite characters that aren't ruined.
He's a loyal and supportive father figure that never doubts his son.

Still I find it dumb how they managed to bring Bernadette and Chuck back to normal, but Julus remains a robot (just like in "Quest For Camelot" the sword didn't cure Garret's blind-ness).

As for his wife, Bernadette....well she's okay, but she's not as great as Sonic's other mother (who is on the list as well).


07.) Queen Aleena from "Sonic Underground": Now Aleena should've being Julus' wife, as well as Sonic's official mother.

She's wise (except for some moments that DIC put her in), caring, and she even aids her children on some of their journeys once in a while.

Though the whole royalty thing should've left out of the series, mostly because theme has nothing to do with anything royalty related (and monarchy responsibilities just aren't Sonic's thing to do).


06.) Silver from the current Sonic games: Many people hate him because of the game of where he first debut in.
I on the other hand, think he's a decent character, but he just needs to be more dimensional about where and what year he is actually from.

For those of you who are/were worried about the Sonic-Reboot, don't worry, it was just a rumor and a lie.
Though the only that does need rebooting is Silver's origin and debut, because maybe fans wouldn't hate him so much if he was not introduced in "Sonic 2006."


05.) Sonia from "Sonic Underground": Like I said, I love the idea of Sonic having siblings and would like to see Sonia & Manic in the video-games;
However, I also think that need to change the origin of the triplets on where they have been, when they were separated, and why Sonia and Manic were not there for Sonic for 16 years.

For Sonia, the only things I didn't like about her were her voice and how confusing her motivation is (she likes to ride motorcycles, yet she hates getting dirty).

It would've been better if Sonia had a woman voicing her, and was gifted with an enchanting voice (like Jodi Benson or any of famous voice-actress), that'll give a reason why Dingo has a (creepy) crush on her (he's mostly in love with her voice, and gets distracted by it).

As for her background, when she was separated from her brothers (when they were around 14 years old), Sonia went to go training in the ghetto to become stronger (if she's gonna fight robots, she needs to drop the princess act).
Mostly doing acrobatics, target practicing, and getting a license in motorcycling.



04.) Shadow: I like he's character and purpose, and I feel sorry for him for the lost of his dear friend.

However Shadow's at #04 because of the horrifying fanbase of his.



03.) Russel from "Littlest Pet Shop": Another hedgehog named "Russel" that's on the list.

To be honest, I didn't like the 80's/90's Littlest Pet Shop cartoon (I found it forgettable and weak), but I actually like the new LPS cartoon, and almost every character is likable.

Russel is definitely one of my favorites because he's cute and he's the complete opposite of what he looks like.

Instead of being like Sonic-persa like character (ironically, he's voiced by the actor of Sonic's singing voice in "Sonic Underground" ), Russel is more of the voice-of-reason and a OCD character.



2.) Manic from "Sonic Underground": Who doesn't like Manic, he's the fan-favorite of the series.

Some people might compare him to characters like Michelangelo from the 80's TMNT cartoon or Nosedive from "Mighty Ducks," but I think that's kind of unfair because Manic isn't as "dumb" as what most people think he is.

Heck, while there was no Tails in the cartoon, Manic was the techno-genuise of the trio, he can basically hack into Eggman's computers and reprogram the robots.


If they put him and Sonia in the games, I hope that Sega would keep that quirk in Manic's character.
For his origin, I picture Manic being trained by matrial-artists and learn new techniques like "speed-swiping" and "invisibility-swifting."

And Sega would probably give Manic Sonic's old personality from the DIC cartoons and OVA (including being a total flirt).


01.) Sonic the Hedgehog: I feel so guilty for liking Sonic with the insane fanbase he has, but I still can't help but love (character-wise) Sonic no matter what.

I literally grew-up with this character all of my life (with being one year apart), and I can't shake him out of my mind or give up on liking him.
And it pains me to see Sonic's character getting ruined by the fandom, Archie, and "Sonic X."

Whether it's the classic 2D Sonic or the current 3D Sonic, I still love the blue anthromorphic hedgehog, now and forever.
