You know the old saying "The good men are either dead, taken, gay, or animated"? This meme here has a list of male characters that are great boyfriends to the female characters, boyfriends we wish to have, and/or have the qualities of a good boyfriend (mostly in my opinion).

(P.S. Most of these characters are single/never had a girlfriend, but they got the qualities of what makes a great boyfriend)

*Quasimodo (Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame): Quasi may not be very good-looking, but it's his soul and heart that matter's more.
And it's an important lesson to learn that looks aren't everything to make a significant other.
Even though he didn't get Esmeralda at the end of the first movie (like he did in the original story), but in the sequel, Quasi found love through Madellaine.^^

*Melman (the Madagascar movies): Melmen may be awkward, clumsy, and paranoid [ironically a lot like Ross from "Friends" (another character David Schwimmer played)]; but he proves his love to Gloria through meaningful words and the things he knows about her.
And at the end, Melman ends up being the one who gets Gloria.

*Mickey Mouse (Disney): For those guys who said that Mickey is gay just because he doesn't look at other women and Minnie's not curvaceous, you're so dead-wrong! Because those are actually rare qualities in a guy that is important in a relationship, being loyal to one's lover and never cheat on them.
Mickey is a true gentle-mouse to Minnie, and wouldn't do anything to hurt her.

*Superman/Clark Kent/Kal-El (DC Comics): What surprises me is that many people had forgotten that the Man of Steel is an alien, and it never confirmed to people that the pairing of Superman and Lois Lane are technically a humanxanthro pairing?
But back to the subject on what makes Supes a great boyfriend, he isn't just good-looking and has unlimited powers. What makes him a great boyfriend to Lois (and his old high school sweethearts), is that he'll do any thing to keep them out of harms way. Even if some of the ladies are independent, Superman is still there to rescue them.

*Spiderman/Peter Parker (Marvel): Spidey may be half of what most women fear, but it's his cunning go-to attitude, sense of adventure, and keeping his promises, that make Mary-Jane and Gwen so lucky to have him.

*The Disney Princes: Whether it's one of the Disney princes, or just the Prince Charming-like character in general, they are timelessly...well charming, no matter how old we get.
What girl didn't dream about a guy like them sweep them off their feet?

*Shining Armor (MLP: Friendship is Magic): Like the Disney princes, Shiny is chivalrous, brave, and charming. But what really made him win Princess Cadence's heart, was the bond between him and his sister, Twilight Sparkle. Any guy who is great with kids (in a non-pedo way) and doesn't treat his siblings badly is a keeper of a boyfriend/husband to me.

*The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Bronies can have their MLP Ponies, we Turtle-girls have these heroes in a half-shell. Even though some of the fangirls have been scalies of them since the very beginning of the franchise, it's the recent 2012-2013 Turtles that got us squealing like piglets.

The Turtles in this version are equally adorable, and they have personalities and quirks that make them be like boyfriend material for any girl with any taste.
Whether it's Leonardo for his old-fashion boy-scout personality, Donatello for his brains and coyness, Raphael for his bad boy persona (with a heart of gold), or Michelangelo for his adorable boyish-charms; All four of these ninja reptiles stole our hearts like pizzas.

*Bat-Mite (DC): Surprised that he made it on the list? Well, I'm surprised as well when I saw how BM's character is around women in the comics and cartoons.
Sure he's geeky, a total smart-alack, and a bit unwelcome at most times (but don't some of you boys feel/act the same way too?), but when it comes to the ladies, the little imp becomes like a flirty sylph (Tiny Castle reference, read the description: tinycastle.wikia.com/wiki/Sylp… ).
That's what makes him different from Mxyzptlk (who does scandalous things to make women be his "toys" ), Bat-Mite is a real sweetheart to the women he likes, and he would never do anything extreme/wrong to make one like him.

He may not have gotten a girlfriend, but Bat-Mite managed to get to 1st base (giving and receiving kisses) about eight times. Twice with Batwoman (the Silver-Age one that is), once with the first Batgirl Betty Kane, and six times with the famous Batgirl Barbra Gordon (a certain boy-wonder must've jealous of that).

This also might be for the fact that Bat-Mite is (possibly) a chip-off the next person who's on the meme.

*(tie) Batman/Bruce Wayne & Robin/Dick Grayson: Not only is the Dynamic Duo a well-blend Yin-Yang team of crime-fighting, but they are also two of the most popular fantasies of the fangirls.

Bats' the classic whole package (tall, dark, and handsome), but what really makes him a dream-boat are these reasons:
1. He's two people in one: Cunning and charming when he's Bruce Wayne, and a dark badass when he's Batman
2. He's really sympathetic deep down, and cares about each of his comrades (even Bat-Mite)
3. He has been a great father-figure to each of the Robins he took under his wing (no pun intended)
4. His relationship with Catwoman is really edgy and seductive, many fangirls I know melt when the picture themselves as Catwoman

Dick Grayson (the first Robin) is there for the women who like guys who are more laid-back and optimistic. Most of his traits of Dick being a great boyfriend is that he's the right amount of spunk of being a right-hand man without over doing it, his taste of suspense, and is extremely flexible in tight situations.

No matter which of the two they pick, any girl or woman would be really lucky to have these guys as their soulmates.
