March of the Hares

In honor of the DVD release of Disney's 1951 animated film "Alice in Wonderland" (which will be out in 4 days), Tim Burton's version still going strong in selling movie tickets, and Easter coming up, I decided to do a cute chibi-fied picture of all of the March Hares in the many Alice media.


Here are five of the famous and infamous March Hares having tea and carrot cakes together.

The classic Disney one (the blonde one)

Mad March from the short-lived Sci-Fi/Crime Tv show based on the Alice books (the white one)

The Under-Rated March Hare from the 90's education kid's show called "Adventures in Wonderland" (the brown one with the glasses)


Thackery "March" Hare from the new Tim Burton film (the gray one)


And my version of the March Hare (roleplay by Loki Warner) from the Animaniacs parody/spoof of AiW (the orange one).


The only March Hare I didn't include is the American McGee's March Hare.


What I found facinating about this is that no matter which Alice in Wonderland media, it appears that the March Hare characters all have their own personalities.


The Disney one is a fast-talker and a wise-cracker

The Sci-Fi one(who is actually a human) is a criminal who disguises himself as the Wonderland's March Hare, and has a crush on the Alice character and wants to kill the Hatter character (who's the Alice character's boyfriend) get to her.


The "Adventures in Wonderland" one is all nerdy and dorky (and look at his suit, it has more colors then an Easter basket)


The Tim Burton one is nuttier then a can of mixed-nuts


And my version is extremly crazy about women and loves to chase them.
