Description

Behold, three of the under-rated video game characters meeting their (awful) animated counter-parts: Pit from "Kid Icarus," Megaman, and Simon Belmont from "Castlevania."

If you thought that DIC ruined Mario, Link, and Sonic very badly, in "Captain N: The Game Master" they practically butchered these poor guys to shame.

*Pit- With Pit (or Kid Icarus, as the DIC producers called him) they just basically made him a winged love-child of Urchin (from TLM TV series) and Elmyra Duff (Tiny Toon), and always have a running gag of ending every sentence with the word "icus."

While the Pit in the video games, he got himself a comeback with a complete make-over. With looks that make Sora (KH) look even more girly than before, more weapons than a Swiss-army knife, and a more fitting voice for Crest-sake!
I say that's an impressive comeback for a character who only had two video game.

*Megaman- Now us video-gamers know that Megaman his about 4-5 feet tall, has the ability to his arms into canons, has a young man/teenage voice (in the English dub), and is blue.
DIC on the other hand did the complete opposite that. With an annoying Popeye-chipmunk voice and painting him green (color-blind much? ). That's not Megaman, that's Robo-Dwarf.
Plus, the little guy is an easy target to kill because he has none of the weapons or powers like the real one does.

*Simon Belmont- Out of all three of these poorly portrayed wanna-bees, Simon's DIC counter-part takes the taco stand.

The original Simon is suppose to be a Medieval barbarian that kills and hunts vampires and other monsters.
In the "Captain N" series, :ohmygod: they just turned him into an egoistical gay stereotype wuss.
Plus, what does that pilot-suit have to do with the theme of "Castlevania" ?

If it's because of original Simon's wardrobe, that is a despicable reason. Because that IS exactly what men used to wear in the Medieval years (they wore less clothes than women back in those days), and for the fact that he needs very light clothes because of all of the running and dodging he'll be doing when fighting monsters.

Another thing I'd like to ask is did DIC purposely made these characters awful and ugly to make their original characters (Kevin and Princess Lana) better than they are?

I mean compare to the DIC versions, the originals look like trio of chick-magnets (I know a few fangirls of these guys), and they are even more boss in their video games.

Enjoy the picture.

Pit belongs to Nintendo
Simon Belmont belongs to Konami
Megaman belongs to Capcom
The rest belong to DIC

Why isn't Megaman here saying "Mega" every other sentence?
