My Favorite Robin Williams Characters

Description

A self-filled version of my latest meme.

The 10 of Robin Williams' Characters and Roles that he played, and honorable mentions.

#10.) Peter Banning/Pan (Hook)- Before "Wicked." "Hook" was the original fan-fictional turned movie (yes, they created fan fictions way before the Internet came along & were written on paper).
Robin's character is the legendary Peter Pan, all grown-up and lost his memories of being Peter Pan & the reason why he left Neverland.
Sure we have to grow-up, but we also can't lose our inner-child innocence nor the precious memories of being a kid. That what Peter has taught us in the movie.

However I want to point out that it's so ironic that both Robin Williams & Bob Hoskins (who played Smee) both were in the movie, had the same disease, and both died this year.

#09.) The Frog Prince from the "Faerie Tale Theater" episode of the same name: "Faerie Tale Theater" is an under-rated TV series of celebrities playing the parts of Fairy Tale characters & re-telling the stories in their own way, and Mr. Williams started in the very first episode of the show "The Frog Prince."
Sure the frog mask isn't very advanced, but other than that, Robin did a fantastic job of bringing his version of the Frog Prince to life, with a few bits of his stand-up jokes thrown in there.

Check the episode out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSuBOp…

#08.) Arnold from "The Birdcage"- :lmao: That movie one of the funniest films I've seen! With Nathan Lane being the total drama drag-queen, Hank Azaria as the fruity house-boy, and of course Williams being the only sane & dominate one of the gay couple.
Even I am aware that the main gay couple does the voices for two certain Disney characters, but seeing them play as a married couple doesn't ruin my childhood, it makes me laugh even harder.:XD:

#07.) Mork of Ork from "Mork & Mindy"- This was practically Robin's debut as a TV star icon, and thanks to my mother for introducing me to the series, I can see how good the show is (even though it's really out-dated ^^; ).

Fun Fact: Mork originally was a one-shot character from the show "Happy Days." Apparently that episode of him was so popular, the TV producers had decided to give Mork is own spin-off show instead of one of the recurring characters.

#06.) (tie) Ramon & Lovelace from "Happy Feet 1 & 2": It's mainly a tie because Robin voiced both characters & they are from the same film.
Both characters made me chuckle because they have both different kinds of humor that only Robin could pull in one movie.

#05.) Fender from "Robots": I think :icontoonfanjoey: can explain this character better than I can.

#04.) Theodore Roosevelt from the "Night at the Museum" movies: While most think that it was Dexter the Monkey who stole the show, but in my opinion, the real show-stealers of the flick were Gus (Mickey Rooney) & Teddy Roosevelt (Robin Williams).
Not only did Robin looked exactly like the 26th president, but he also brought a lot of charm & life to the character. And unlike most of the incarnations of the president, Robin actually made Teddy be a lot more interesting and made people want to learn more about him; so they wouldn't think that Teddy was just an extra squeezed in-between two of the presidents before him on Mount Rushmore.

#03.) Daniel Hillard/Mrs. Eugephina Doubtfire (Mrs. Doubtfire): I loved this movie when I was a kid, and still love it today. Plus this movie fits Robin like a glove because he's both a family-man and entertainer, as well as actually like an event that happened in his life (however it didn't involve him dressing up on drag to be with his kids, it involved this ).

#02.) adult Alan Perrish from "Jumanji": Jumanji is one of my favorite book-based films that is actually a lot better than the book itself.
Alan had been trapped in the dangerous jungle of the cursed Jumanji board-game, and once he finally came out back into the real world. it's been twenty-six years since he was gone & his parents are dead. Making this character one of Robin's most tragic characters he's ever played.

And my most favorite role of Robin Williams is........*drumroll*

#01.) Genie from Disney's "Aladdin": No doubt that Genie is Robin's most iconic role known by all 80's & 90's kids.
And why wouldn't this character be number 1? (look at the memorial pictures of Genie we made here on DA)
Genie is the embodiment of everything Robin Williams stands for and is one of the best Disney sidekicks ever made & animated.
Whimsical, musical, magical, humorous, sympathetic, and fully animated (literally & figuratively) who wouldn't wanna have a friend like Genie?

Honorable mentions:
Batty Koda (Ferngully: The Last Rain Forest)
His cameo appearances in "Friends"
Maxwell "Wizard" Wallace (August Rush)
Sean Maguire (Good Will Hunting)
"Rainbow" Randolph (Death To Smoochy)- Why do I have a feeling that the movie was like a prediction of Williams' suicide attempt? :(
The Merchant from the beginning of "Aladdin" (who many believed to be Genie in disguise)
Dr. Kosevich (Nine Months)
Pudgy & Grunge (Mrs. Doubtfire)

R.I.P. (again) Robin Williams, we miss you deeply.
