Part 2 on the "Lions, and Tigers, and Bears (Oh My)" trilogy.
Now we're onto the tigers!
#10.) Vitaly (Madagascar 3): At first, I thought Vitaly was gonna be another jerky-type of character, but when I watched the movie, I ended up feeling a bit sorry for him.
He really does care about his friends and well do anything to help the circus.
Kudos to Dreamworks for not taking the jerk-character trait
#09.) Tilly the Tigress (Elmer the Elephant): Tilly is so cute, you can just put her in your pockets!^^ Of course she's also very sweet and a friend to everyone, which is the reason why she's the belle of the jungle. But the only boy she loves the most is the misfit elephant Elmer.
#08.) Raikou (Pokemon): Yes, he counts as a tiger, look at his design!*u*
#07.) Richard Parker (The Life of Pi) : I finally got to see the movie on HBO, and it's a good movie
by it's own standards. My favorite scene is defiantly the glowing plankton (so luminous *w* ), and my favorite character is the tiger.
According to the main character, Pi, there are two versions of his journey. And he said that in the human-version of his story the tiger represents his father.
But I agree with the publisher character that the story with the tiger is better, plus this film would be a step closer to save the tiger species.
#06.) Koumal and Songar (Two Brothers): I never got to see the movie, but I wanted too because of these little guys!^^ But judging by how IMNB rated the movie, I think I would've enjoyed the movie.
And it's really sweet how they changed the lives of the humans that found them, and they were eventually reunited.
#05.) Tygra (Thundercats, both classic and 2011): First of all, I am so sick of people hating the 2011 Tygra because of the whole TyChee (Tygra x Cheetara) thing and the rough start he had in the beginning! I've actually watched the series and I think it's ridiculous how one character got so much hatred all because of a pairing.
And Tygra actually got better as the series continued. He actually admits that Lion-O would be a better choice as king, and grew to become a better brother to Lion-O.
And I don't care about the pairing thing, I just want to enjoy this reboot because it's one of the more decent reboots compare to the others that were/are on Cartoon Network these day *cough* The 'Looney Tunes' Show *cough*
#04.) Shar Khan (The Jungle Book): Can't argue with the fact that Shar Khan is one of the Top Favorite Disney villains.
They had so much build-up to him to make him more menacing, and he's one of those villains that have evil minds but good manners and sophistication.
However in the original story, Shar Khan was a lame (weak) colored tiger who is jealous of the fear that Bageerah brings into the eyes of animals and humans alike, and the leadership of Akela (the head Alpha wolf). Once Akela was old and weak, and if he misses his last kill, he'll be sentence to death and Shar Khan takes over as pack leader!O_O
My favorite versions of Shar Khan are the original book one, the Disney version (both adult from the movies, and cub from "Jungle Cubs" ), the Chuck Jones one, and the Shoenen anime one.
#03.) Tigress (Kung Fu Panda): Despite being voiced by Angelina Jolie (my mom and I hate her), Tigress is still a cool female character and a strong fighter (just ignore the butchered version of her in the TV series).
I felt sorry for her when she was a cub, how people wouldn't adopt her and the other orphans feared her. But Shifu tamed her (no pun intended) and happily adopted her as he's daughter.
Being adopted himself, it's no wonder that Po admires her the most, and in the sequel it shows that Tigress really has a soft spot for Po as well (opposites attract).
#02.) Tigger (Winnie the Pooh): The wonderful thing about Tigger isn't because he's the only one, it's because he's just a fuzzy ball of energy that makes anyone smile (even though Rabbit and Eeyore deny it).
Whether he be voiced by Paul Wintchell (rest in peace
ray ) or Jum Cummings, I still love Tigger's lisps and silly grammar with words like "ridicurous" (instead of 'ridiculous' ), "ken-night" (instead of 'knight' ), and "importerant" (instead of 'important' ).
Let's not forget he "invented" text-messages and words, remember "TTFN, Ta-Ta For Now"?
If it weren't for Tigger (and cute little Piglet), "Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day" wouldn't have won the Academy Award it got.
#01.) Rajah (Aladdin): The tiger that takes the #01 spot on my meme is Jasmine's beloved exotic pet, the handsome, fierce, and soft tiger Rajah.
To me Rajah is the ideal pet (despite how tigers are illegal to have as pets ). He's a vicious protector and cool for guys, yet lovable and cuddly enough for girls to like him too.
And the movie does show it, Rajah may be a terrifying guard-beast of the palace, but when it comes to he's mistress (owner), he's just a big ol' puddy tat!
(If the "Disney Royal Pets" merchandise plans to replace Rajah with a different pet for Jasmine, I'm so gonna explode with anger!
How can you compete a dog/cat for a much cooler pet than a tiger!?! )
*Tony and family of Kellog's Frosted Flakes
*Lime (Ranma 1/2 manga)- He may be a total idiot and pervert, but in some ways, he and his partners, Prince Herb and Mint, are kind of like Bebop & Rocksteady and the '87 Shredder (if Shredder had a gender-bending curse on himself
*The tiger family from "Dumbo"- the cubs are so cute!
*The real tigers at the zoos
*Diago from the "Ice Age" movies- He kind of counts cause he is a sabertooth-TIGER
*Jake from Eddie Murphy's "Dr. Dolittle"
*Baby Tooth from "The Flintstones"
*Tiggs (my Beanie Baby tiger)
*Hobbes from "Calvin and Hobbes"
