Our story begins somewhere in the Mid-Coast of The United States, in the country state, of Kanas, and out on a barn.
There on the barn lived a middle-aged couple and their seventeen year old niece.
Jerry and Nancy Gale were their names, and what their jobs were in their town is that Jerry was not only a farmer, but was a famous mechanic back in his days.
As for their niece, her name was Kimberley Gale. Kimberley was the daughter of Jerry's brother (that's how they are related), who lived up in the mountains in Canada (the English parts that is).
Kimberley had brown hair and eyes, and was very open-minded, especially when it comes to wanting to see new places.
As for friends, Kimberley did know a few, but they weren't close to her, the closet friend she did have however was her pet dog, Pluto, a blood-hound and labador mix she raised since he was a pup.
One day, Kimberley was there on the fance where the horses are, staring up into the clear blue sky, while Pluto was out chasing the chickens (like he usally does).
Kimberley was wondering is there a place somewhere beyond where the real world is, a place where fantasies are real, and where it's not as difficult as the real world is.
"Kimberley!" Aunt Nancy called out to her, "Come over here and stop your dog from chasing those chickens!"
"Aunt Nance, why can't you just let him play for a while?" Kim asked her aunt
"Pluto doesn't actually harm the chickens."
"That's what what the neighbors say about their beagal and it tared up five of the chickens' necks" Aunt Nance yelled a bit
"Now will you stop being lazy and stop your dog?!"
Kimberley sighed and got out her whistle, blow it, and Pluto instantley stop chancing the chickens and started to go up to Kim.
"Hi there, Pluto ol' boy!" Kim said in a happy tone to her dog
"Spending all your spare time chasing the chickens again, haven't ya?"
Pluto barked and started to lick all over Kimberley's face.
Aunt Nance picked up Kim and started to talk to her again.
"There's another thing a want you to do," said Aunt Nance to her niece
"I want you to go to town and get these items I've written on a small list."
"You think you can handle it?"
"Aunt Nance, I've been to the town like a hundred times," said Kimberley
"I know where it is, and which stores I need to go to find the items on the list."
"Good," said Aunt Nance, then she pulls out some money from her pocket and give it to Kimberley
"Here's the money you need for the stuff to get in town, and here's some extra money to get yourslef and Pluto something while you're up threre."
"Oh, and you need your carrying bag," she gave Kim a big bag that looks like a messanger's mail bag.
"Thanks Aunt Nance," Kimberley said to her aunt, then she looked at Pluto
"Ready to go to town with me, boy?"
"Yeah-yeah-yeah," Pluto panted
Kimberley rushed up toward her bicycle, which was right on the side of the barn, and took off on it like a shot with Pluto running by her side.
Then Aunt Nance quicckly remembered something and shouted out to Kim, "You better hurry up too, I heard that there is going to be a huge storm coming."
"I will!" Kim called out back
Kimberley passed by her Uncle Jerry and said, "Back in a few minutes, Uncle Jerry!"
Uncle Jerry got out from under a car he was working on and waved at his niece.
"See you later, kiddo!" he said to his niece.
So off Kimberley and Pluto went to go to town.
However, while Kimberley and Pluto were in town, most of the stores seem to be closing very quickly do to a really storm coming this way, but Kim was able to gather all of the things on Aunt Nance's list of what she need to get, plus a box of Dog Biscuts for Pluto.
The last stop in town Kimberley went to was her favorite comic book store, buy herself the newest issue of her favorite comic book and TV Series, "Darkwing Duck," just in time before the whole store closed.
Kim got out of the comic book store, got on her bike, and started to paddle off back home with Pluto by her side.
On her way down back home, Kim had noticed that the whole entire was all gray and full of clouds, and the wind had started to blow stronger and faster.
"Looks like it's going to be a really big storm coming, Pluto" she said to her dog
"We better hurry up before it gets worse."
So Kim started to paddle her bike faster as well as Pluto satrted to run faster to get home on time before the storm got stronger.

The Wooden Soldiers of Oz Chapter 1
Once upon a time, there were, and still are, enchanted lands that many say are only make-believe; stories told to instill imagination, hope, and other ideals in young children. But the children know better. They know that these realms are as real as you and I, and reaching them can be as simple as falling asleep or as sudden as a storm on a summer’s day. These realms, while connected to each other, mostly went about without knowing of each other’s existence for quite some time. That all changed one dark and terrifying night, when the machinations of one vengeful old miser, who played the part of the villain in one such story,

The story is about Kim (of course) who dreams about going some where far away from where she lives in Kanas, but her aunt and uncle wouldn't let her cause she is still young and learning, and out there it's a dog-eat-dog world when you don't know very much about a place you are far from home.
Instead of Auntie Em and Uncle Henrey, it's Aunt Nance and Uncle Jerry [which are based off of my real aunt and uncle].
And since Kim is a fan of Darwking Duck, the reason why the characters of Oz she met look like the characters of
