The Wiz of Oz: Chapt 11

As soon as Glenn left and everyone was back on their way to the Emerald City, the guys were still chuckling about what Kim's hair looked like after Glenn shocked her.

"Very funny, you guys" Kim said as she brushed her hair back to normal "Next time could've at least told me about my hair."

"Okay, we're sorry" Scarecrowjack said taking the last laugh out of it

After that conversation, everyone stopped with their jaws opened as they witness the sight of the Emerald City for the first time.

"Behold that fabulousness and wonder of Oz's very own, Emerald City!" Water Dog said it as if he were a commercial announcer

"After all we've been travling through," said Tin Duck "It was worth finding it."

"It's not even terrifing as I imanged it" said Cowadly Lion-Rat


"Now come on," said Kim "Let go see the Wizard to grant our wishes."

Everyone started to run forward to the Emerald City as they couldn't wait to get their wishes granted.




As they finally made it to the enterance gates of Emerald City and the sun was rising from the sky, the gate guard stopped Kimberley and the guys.

The gate guard looked a lot like Fenton Crackshell (Gizmo Duck's alter ego), and was wearing a green suit.

"Hold it!" said the gate guard as he stopped Kimberley and the guys

"You can't go in to the Emerald City unless you got a ticket to go in."

"Ticket?! What do you think the Emerald City is, twig arms? A theme park?" Kim said to the guard

"Technically, a quarter of it is a theme park" the guard pointed out the Emerald City theme park.

"If neither of you don't have a ticket, why doi you come here for?"

"We wanted to see the Wizard," Kim and guys and at the same time

The guard almost jumped out of his seat

"The Wizard!?! Uh, sorry but the Wizard is too busy right now to talk to anyone" replied the guard

Then a citizen of from the Emerald City (a little boy who looked a lot like Honker Muddlefoot), saw Kimberley and ran up to the gate guard

"Hold on a minute, sir" the Ozian boy said to the guard

"The girl you're talking to is the same girl that crushed the Wicked Witch of the East with a house."

The boy showed the guard the front page of a magazine that Kim's picture on it.

The guard turned back around to talk to Kim.

"Aren't you Kimberley Gale?" he asked her

"Yes, I am" Kim nodded

"Well there's been a slight schedual change," the guard said back "All of you may go in and see the Wizard."


The guard opened the gate and allowed Kimberley, Pluto, and the guys to go in.


When they all went inside Emerald City, everywhere they looked it was all green. The city folk were wearing green clothes and shoes, the buildings were green, even some the food was dyed green.

"This place is greener then Saint Patrick's Day in Ireland," said Scarecrowjack

"At least it's a lot better then seeing everything pink like in the Barbie Doll Expo" Kim thought

"Now where can find the Wizard in this place?" asked Cowardly Lion-Rat

"The Wizard is at his head quaters at the Emerald Palace," said the Ozian boy that was talking to the guard earlier

"Fallow me and I'll show where it is."



Everyone had fallowed the Ozian boy down the streets of the Emerald City, until they reached the very Souh end of the city where the Emerald Palace is.

The palace was like 30 stories high and everything shined off it like it was really made out of real emeralds.

"Good luck on getting your wishes granted" the Ozian boy said to Kimberley and the boys

Everyone stepped forward into the palace to go see the Wizard. But as they came in, the lobby of the palace looked all crossed between a centure entrance of a mall and a waiting from at the hostpitals.

As everyone sat down in the chairs, an Ozian girl (who looked a lot like Gosalyn Mallard) came up to them to greet them.

"Welcome to the Emerald Place," said the Ozian girl

"I'm Ozma, the emperoress of the Emerald City and the second in command to the Wizard."

"Hi there, Ozma" Kim said to her  "We are all here to see the Wizard to grant our wishes."

"The Good Warlock of the North told me to go see him."


"I'll go talk to the Wizard to make you guys get an appoint with him," said Ozma

Then she looked  at Kim again and said "Hey! Aren't you the girl that crushed the Wicked Witch of the East with a house?"

"Yes" said Kim, "But I didn't know I crushed her, but I do have her ruby shoes as proof."

"Keen gear!" Ozma said as she looked at Kim's feet and saw the ruby shoes.  

"I'll go tell him you are here to see him imediantly."

Ozma started to run down to a different room to go tell the Wizard who is here to see.


Then Kim started to talk to the guys more about the Wizard.

"I still don't get it, if guys all went to Shiz High with Glenn, Alphonzo, and all of the other witches and warlocks, how come you never got to see the Wizard back at high school?" Kim asked all of them

"Because none of us got into too much trouble in order to see him in person," said Tin Duck

"But we did hear a lot of different stories about him" added Scarecrowjack

"Some say that he was a ghost, that he was a titan, and that he was a genie," said Water Dog
"Either way, still he sounded the same, and no one really the real him except for the witches and warlocks."

"I just hope that he isn't very scary," said Lion-Rat as he hold on to his tail

"I don't care what he looks like, as long as he can't grant my wish to go home," Kim answered back.



Then Ozma came back to the lobby to talk to Kimberley and the guys.

"The Wizard may see you now" Ozma said to them, "But he shall see one at a time, and you need to wear these glasses."

Ozma tossed six pairs of green glasses with green shades

"The first he wants to see is the Cowardly Lion-Rat" Ozma continue to talk about who the Wizard wanted to see


"Me!?!" said Cowardly Lion-Rat, "But I'm too afraid to go in alone, and can't I just go last?"

"Sorry, but that's how the Wizard wants to see you" said Ozma, and she dragged Lion-Rat by the tail to take hi down the hall to room of the Wizard.

Down the hall there is a small doorway room, one door to go back to the lobby and another to enter the Wizard's head quaters. And where Ozma took Lion-Rat to.

"Uh, can't you at least go in with me?" Lion-Rat asked while his knees were shaking.

"Oh don't be such a wuss-puss," said Ozma "Just go through the doors and talk to the Wizard."

Ozma closed the front door in the door way, and left Lion-Rat alone

"Find-a-happy-place-find-a-happy," Lion-Rat said all nervously

"Enter the room, vistor!" an omeninous voice called out


Lion-Rat opened the doors to the Wizard's room to talk to him, and as soon as he opens the doors, the room was all green and spooky like a cave and right at the centure of the room was a large and furosious dragon-like beast on the throne, looking at Lion-Rat.

"I am Oz, the great and terrible" said the beast to Lion-Rat

"Hello Mister Wizard sir," Lion-Rat said all nervously

"I came hear to see you if you can grant me my wish to be very brave."

"So it is courage want?" said the beast

"T-T-T-That's right," Lion-Rat said as his teeth began to chatter

"That'll be all from you," replied the beast, then he pulled a lever that was right by him, opening a trap door below Lion-Rat.

Lion-Rat fell down the trap door and through a shoot that was below the hole.


"Next, bring forth the Scarecrow to me" said the beast.



When it was Scarecrowjack's turn to see the Wizard, the room had changed from being all cave-like to a blaze hot firey place, and instead of a beast on throne, there was a fire demon with just a face.

Scarecrowjack was all terrified.

"I am Oz, the great and terrible" said the fire demon in a gravely voice

"Uh, Hi there Oz" said Scarecrowjack all nervously, "Do you have any relation to Ozzy Osborn?"

Then the fire demon began to spit a ball of fire at Scarecrowjack. SJ dodged before the fire-ball could hit him.

"I'll take that as a 'No'," he said in a quiet voice

"What is that you seek from me?' said the fire-demon

"I can here it see if you can give me a brain, you know for my head" said Scarecrowjack

"Is that all then?" asked the fire demon

"Y-Yes sir" said Scarecrowjack

"Very well, then br gone!" the fire demon breathed out a large stream of fire at Scarecrowjack, and pulled the trap door lever.

Scarecrowjack fell down the trap door before the fire could hit him.


The fire demon chuckled a bit and said, "Bring forth the Tin Duck to me next."




When it was Tin Duck's turn to the Wizard, the Wizard's room was nicely lit with candles, and instead of a beast or fire demon on the throne there was a beautiful woman with fairy wings.

"I am Oz, the great and powerful" said the woman to Tin Duck

"H-Hi, I came here to see if you can give me a heart," said Tin Duck

"I see," said the woman "You have a special someone on your mind"

"Well yes, but I need a heart in order to love her" said Tin Duck

"I'll see what I can do to grant your wish," the winged woman said back

Then Tin Duck brought up another subject, "You know the weird thing is, Miss Wizard, when everyone was talking about you they said that you were a guy. No offence"

"That's alright, they didn't know me," said the woman, then she pulled the lever and the Tin Duck fell down the trap door.

"Next?" said the woman to bring forth the next person to see.




It was Water Dog's turn to see the Wizard, and once again the room changed and the shape of the Wizard.

The room was all blue and green with snake decorations, and on the throne was a giant bayou snake.

"I am Ozzzz, the great and terrible" said the giant snake

"What is that seek from me?"

Water Dog was scared a bit and was able to speak to the Wizard.

"If you would pay attention, your wizardry" he said to the Wizard
"I'd like for you to give a mojo, you know, a urpose in life to be useful."

"Isssss that all?" the snake asked

"Yes it is, sir" nodded Water Dog.

Then the snake pulled the lever, and Water Dog fell down the trap door.



Finally it was Kimberley's turn to see the Wizard.  When Ki and Pluto entered the room, it was all dark and the only the light that shine was on the giant head on the Wizard's throne.

The Giant head was all spooky and moon-like with piercing red eyes.

Pluto was terrified of the head, but Kimberley brave enough to face it.

"I am Oz, the great, terrible, and powerful" said the head in a deep voice
"Aren't you the one that killed the Wicked Witch of the East?"

"Yes, but it was an accident" Kim said to head
"And came here cause your old student, Glenn the Good Warlock of the North said that you can grant my wish to bring me and my dog back home to Kanas."

"I will grant you, your wish, if you could do me a favor," said the Giant Head

"What would that be?" asked Kim

"You must go the West point of Oz, across the Dead Valley, and bring me the cape of the Wicked Warlock of the West" said the head.

"What about my friend's wishes?" Kim asked again

"Brain, heart, courage, mojo, all of their wishes will be granted as well if you bring me back the Wicked Warlock's cape," answered the Head

"I will bring you the cape, but first you got tell me where my friends are," Kim agreed and asked the Wizard.

"They right down here," the Head pulled the lever and Kim and Pluto fell down the trap door and down the shoot.
