Love For Bizzare Musicals

I'm not much of a Broadway buff, but I have hard about different shows of it.

Besides the classics (like PotO), "Wicked", and the Disney Musicals; There's also Musicals and Shows that have unlikely choices to become these type of shows, yet they strangely work and people actually like it.

Examples:

"Cats"- A Musical about cats singing in a giant garbage can

"Starlight Express"- A 70's musical underdog-story with trains (even thought the people were dressed up more like robots)

The Broadway show of "Shriek"- The movie doesn't look like a musical (despite the part where the characters all break into karaoke)

"Avenue Q"- An adult Sesame Street-que musical with puppets

"Repo: the Genetic Opera"- A gorey, Apocalyptic musical about the future/The World War

"Rocky Horror Pictures"- A comdey/horror musical with Tim Curry as a bi-gender mad doctor

"Pokemon Live!: The Musical"- That's right, they released a musical of this anime when it was still fresh (the first season)



It wouldn't suprise me if they starred making Musicals of vidoegames like "Legend of Zelda" and "Sonic the Hedgehog" (since the whole entire cast of the games can actually sing).
