Return of The Dinosaurs Pt8

Night time had come and Earl was pacing around the room at the Hawthorn's house.

"Where are those two?!" said Earl

Fran answered "Be patient, Earl."

"Robbie and Serena will be back soon."  

"How could Robbie spend that much time with a human?" Earl asked angry

"Back then cave people were too wild and stupid to have much fun with, but now they have evolved into these....smart critters."

"Well, at let they were polite enough to let us stay in there home until we find a new one," Fran said to Earl with her fists on her hips

"You're really believing in this crack aren't ya?" Earl said with a dumbfound look


Just at that moment, Robbie and Serena entered from the front door and laughing about some jokes they told each other.

Earl started to stump towards the hall as he heard the door shut.

"That's it! I'm gonna give that boy a piece of my mind!" he groaned but then he stopped and gasped to find that Robbie and Serena are holding hands!

"I don't believe this!" Earl thought to himself

"My oldest son, my scales and blood, holding hands.....with a human girl!"  


"Fran!" he called out to his wife

"Take a look at this!"

Fran came in to see what the fuss is about that Earl wanted her to see, but all she saw Robbie and Serena talking to each other.

"This is what you wanted me to see, Earl?" Fran asked her husband

"But Franny, you should've seen it earlier" Earl said with a studder

"Those two were holding hands! Hands I tell ya!"


"You're just seeing things," Fran said to Earl

"Now just relax and go to sleep, and keep your voice down!"

"You'll wake the baby!"

And Fran left the hallway and went back to the living room to sleep.



"That was a fun day, you know for my first tour here," Robbie said to Serena

"Glad that you enjoyed it, Robbie" Serena replied

"Serena!" Abigail called out to her daughter

"You better get ready for bed cause you got school tomorrow."


"I will, Mom" Serena answered back

"I'll see you tomorrow morning, Robbie."

"We'll continue your family's tour around the city tomorrow after I finished school."


"Okay," Robbie said back.

"I'll tell them about the plans for tomorrow."

They both told each other good night, and  Serena went up stairs to go to bed.

As Robbie was about to go to the living room, Earl dragged Robbie to the living to talk.

"Where were you!?" Earl asked Robbie with a threat

"No where, I was at the movies with Serena cause the video arcade closed down on us too early" Robbie replied.

"You and Serena went the movies?" Charlene suddenly butt in as she over-heard

"What happened," she asked Robbie

"Did you two kissed?"  


"No! I just met her today, Charlene! " Robbie snapped at his sister.

"Some people do kiss on their first date," Charlene continue to taught her brother

"It wasn't a date!" Robbie said as his face turning red with anger



"Enough!  I don't want to here another word you two" Earl said to his two teenage children and broke up the fight

"Just go to sleep and don't bother me for the rest of the night."

"that includes you, mister!" Earl continued as he pointed at Robbie

Then Robbie and Charlene walked away with Earl going in an other direction to go sleep in the living room.


Morning had come, and Serena rushed towards the bus and got on it.

She sat on the seat that is right behind her two friends, Babs and Amy.

Babs is a tall African-American girl with short beaded black hair, a white shirt, and jeans.
Babs is one girl you don't want to mess with cause she's really tough when come to protect her friends.

Amy is a red-headed Asian-American with two small pigtails in her hair, a light green sweatshirt, and stripped stockings.
The biggest problem with Amy is not only she's a bit slow on things, but she also has a huge grab between her two front upper teeth.

Babs turned around to talk to Serena, "Hey girl! Good to see ya" she said all gladly

"Anything odd had happened to you on your trip?" Amy asked.

"Well, you might say it, but I don't want to talk about it right now" Serena said to her friends trying not to tell them about the Sinclairs.

"But you know its just the usual."

"My family goes to the quarry to dig for bones and fossils, exam them, and just go back home."

"The only thing you need to make it better, girl, is a date for our school dance" Babs said to Serena

"Oh, come on, Babs" Serena said with a laugh

"It's just a regular dance, why do I need a date?"

"Cause it's the biggest event of the year, and you don't want to remember it being all lonely" Amy added

"Guys, seriously, I'm not desprite to find a date" Serena rolled her eyes

"When the right guy comes, I'll know when he'll be there."


The school bus had stopped at Serena's school and everyone that was on it entered the school.


At some time, while Serena got her school books from her locker, she heard some familiar voices appearing from behind as Serena walked by the Drama room.



She entered the room to find the Sinclairs all together

"What are you guys doing? If anyone catches you in here, we're toast!" Serena whispered all surprised and worried

"We wanted to see what a human school is like," Charlene answered

"It's not much different from mine and Robbie's old school though."


"How did you guy got in here?" Serena asked again

"We came in from the rear exist back there," Earl pointed out to the back door behind him

"It was unlocked so we decided to go in though there."

"But what's gonna happen if you get caught?" Serena asked them again

"Don't need to worry about a thing" Earl said to Serena

"We'll just stand still like we're statues and they won't noticed a thing."

"Oh yeah, like that's gonna work" Robbie said sarcastically as he rolled his eyes,


"Yeah, like they needed dinosaur statues for the play, 'The Times of King Henry" Charlene added as she pointed out to the poster for a play the Drama Club posted on the wall.


Serena then told them "Look just stay inside the closet right there and try not to make a noise until the end of school."

She pushed the Sinclairs into the closet where all of the stages props were in there.

"Don't go anywhere until school's over, and you exist out of the building," Serena added before she she closes the closet door.

Just as Serena exited out of the Drama Room

  "Miss Hawthorn!" a voice shout from across the hall "Up here this instant!", Serena quickly closed the door and walked.

The voice was coming from the school's vice principal, Mrs. Strict.


She's an old woman with red hair, wrinkly face, big glasses, and wears a lawsuit, and she's is the bossiest and nosiest teacher at the school.

"Yes, Miss Strict?" Serena asked the vice principal

"You know the rules!" Mrs. Strict said to Serena

"No one enters the drama club at 9!"

"But, I-" Serena try to explain then Mrs. Strict interrupt

"No excuses or lying! Honestly, all these times you've been tardy and still you make up a different excuse not to give you one,"  the woman snapped



"Now go to your room!" she ordered Serena has she points to a school room, "You're going to be late!"

"But the bell hasn't rang yet" Serena corrected her, but the bell rang just instant.

"It has now!" Mrs. Strict shouted

"That's a tardy for you!" She writes down on a pink paper, tores it off, and sticks it on Serena's forehead.

"But-" Serena was about to talk then Mrs. Strict interrupt

"Anymore more of your lying excuses , and I'll send you to the principal" she said to Serena with an evil eye.

"Why don't you go back to your cage and stay there!" Serena thought angry at Mrs. Strict, as she walks away and takes the tardy note off of her forehead.

In the drama club classroom, Baby found some tools and props by the costumes.

"Ooo, shiny!" he said as he picks up a hammer

Earl caught him and said "Hey! Put that hammer down right now, young man, or you're gonna have a really bad spannkin' from me!"  

Baby starts swinging the hammer and smashed Earl's foot

"YOW!" Earl shouted.

"Ha ha, I made you do a funny dance" Baby laughed as he watches Earl carrying his hurt foot and hopping on the other one

"Fran! He did it to again" Earl said to his with with pain

"Earl, be quiet!" says Fran

"Someone might here you!"

At the moment someone was hearing them from the hall, it was Mrs. Strict!

She heard the noise coming from the Drama Room.

"Where are you going now, Earl?' Fran asked

"To find a bandage in the room," Earl answered

"Serena told us to stay in the closet until school's over," Robbie said to his father

"Something bad might happen if we get caught."


"Well, I'm going out anyway" Earl replied to robbie and went out of went of the closet.

Mrs. Strict looked into the Drama Room and she saw earl walking out of the closet.

She couldn't believe there was living dinosaurs here.

She picks up her phone and starts calling someone about this.

"Hello. I like to report on something strange happening here!" Miss Strict said on the phone.


The person Mrs. Strict called was the government.

"What's your problem, mame?"  a worker said to Mrs. Strict

"I like to report that there is living dinosaurs at my High School!"  

"Living dinosaurs you say?" the worker said being sarcastically about it

"Yes!" Mrs. Strict said on the phone

"It's at Frank Oz High School in Las Angeles, California!"

"It's big, large, green, and has some tacky old 90's clothes."


"Are you sure you ain't your husband with grass stains on him?" the the worker said while trying not to laugh

Mrs. Strict continue to rant on the phone, as the worker hanged up the phone.



"Can you believe this?' the worker said to the other worker next to him

"This is the fourth living dinosaur sighting today."

"I know," said the other worker

"First someone saw a T-Rex wearing a Hawaiian T-Shirt, then they saw a blue Bracheasaurs with an ascot, then they saw a Stegosaurus in biker suit with a Pleseosaurs  in a gangster suit, and they saw a Triceratops with a giant head and law suit wanting to own the Golden Gate Bridge."


"What's next, they're selling Saber-toothed tigers in the pet shop?"
